Podere Santa Maria
Marino and Luisa Colleoni discovered some old buried vines on an evening walk through Montalcino's northern reaches. After clearing away the undergrowth they found a detailed vineyard, replanting some of the damaged, they had their first harvest in 2000. They're visionaries in the area, valuing biodiversity and relying on natural predators of any bugs or disease.
