Riesling grapes are kept on the skins for one week before being spontaneously fermented and aged on the lee for 10 months. Floral, citrus and minerality.
Weingut Roterfaden established by Olympia Samara and Hannes Hoffman who biodynamically cultivate 2 hecatres of vines in and around the small village of Rosswag, 30km from Stuttgart. Olympia previously worked with Claus Preisinger and Hannes with Niepoort. The couple are commited to the making of wines that are reflective of their local terroir of steep stone terraces and shell limestone stones.
