Sylvère and Mathilde based in Blacé. Sylvère studied agriculture and after worked with Lapalu. They set up in 2012, loosely following biodynamic principles and working with around 6 hectares, farming vegetables until 2018 when they decided to focus all their attention on vines as well as planting an orchard in 2020. This year was so hard for them that they source negociant fruit early as they knew they wouldn't make it through without.
P-U-R (PRODUCTION - UNIQUE - REBELLE)
"P-U-R is above all a state of mind, our wines are natural and the idea is to be closer to the grape and the soil." A low sulphite natural Beaujolais Nouveau.
The quality of Beaujolais has gotten getting better and better as independent winemakers redefine the region. Cyril Alonzo and Florian Looze started P-U-R to make wine from the best organically farmed plots across the Rhône, Mâcon, and Beaujolais. Their Nouveau is seriously terroir-driven made from old vines planted around Beaujolais-Villages. With very little manipulation or intervention, the Gamay is processed via carbonic or semi-carbonic maceration and then pressed into cement tanks to ferment without added yeasts or enzymes. Free of oak and added sulphur, encapsulating the flavour of handmade Beaujolais.
